ABOUT US

Our goal is to promote Amateur radio in Hawaii through a network of Digital and Analog repeater networks, utilizing D-Star Digital Radio, IRLP and Echolink through club owned or associated repeater systems and yes even HF.

HIPRN Supports Hi Q Antennas

Recently there has been a lot of talk about different HF screwdriver antennas. We've noticed some places that used to support and talk about the HIQ have all but eliminated any word about them. This is not our concern.

What is a concern is that other hams may lose the chance to check out these antenna's for themselves. I have personally owned a RT 4/80 and now a RT 4/160, while I don't have a bunch of fancy nubmers to display, I can tell you from my personal experience both antennas worked great. In all cases it out performed my hamsticks, dipoles and verticals I had either purchased or made. There are others in our group who own different versions and would also agree, for the money HI Q Antennas just perform, PERIOD.

Of course everyones situation, application or need is different. But for me living on an island in the pacific I have found the HI Q to be the best antenna I have owned on HF Mobile. Don't judge the product until you have checked it out. Visit the HI Q site, read the info and call Charlie for yourself if your interested in a great performing antenna.
