Not much going on here these days. Of course we moved recently from Salt Lake to town which is more convenient, close to work, etc. but living in town brings it's draw backs as well. Just walking down the street is a challenge with all the homeless and crackheads. The drug scene is nuts here in Honolulu, I have never understood the need to use drugs it does nothing for you. But drugs aside people are just plain stupid. I guess we have to forgive them for they know not what they do, but can't you beat it into them?!
That's why the Serenty Prayer is important for me to share, there are things you can change and things you can't. it's best not to get to upset but to see these people for what they are, lost souls who are searching for someting better but just don't know it.
Serenity Prayer
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; the courage to change the things I can; and the wisdom to know the difference. Living one day at a time; Enjoying one moment at a time; Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will; That I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him Forever in the next. Amen.
